The program which is focused on leaders in philanthropy, is implemented by the Center for Philanthropy Development of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation and the European Foundation Centre in two editions. The first edition took place in 2019 in Brussels, Belgium. The second edition with new participants will take place in a hybrid format (online and offline*) from March to June 2021. Particular attention will be paid to the challenges and themes arising from the pandemic: emerging practices in philanthropy and crisis leadership; community regeneration and economic recovery; the digitalization of philanthropy and the pandemic as a driver of digital transformation; the future of education and the role of philanthropy in the development of education in the new realities.

The program has traditionally included a variety of work formats. However, based on feedback from graduates of the previous program edition program it was decided to give participants more space for mutual dialogue and direct peer-to-peer transfer of experience.

Oksana Oracheva, General Director, Vladimir Potanin Foundation: «The previous experience has shown that our participants establish strong professional contacts with each other which are developing beyond the program. This is one of the most important outcomes we strive for. After all it is the constant process of communication and experience transfer that helps today's NGO leaders stay one step ahead. The second group of participants selected for this year's exchange program consists of bright professionals from Russia and Europe. We are sure that they will find many points of contact and get intellectual and emotional charge from communication and open dialogue with their colleagues from the non-profit sector.»

Delphine Moralis, Chief Executive, European Foundation Centre: «I look forward to meeting and welcoming new fellows to the PLP community, which continues to thrive and expand in terms of geographical and topical diversity. In uncertain times, the opportunity to come together, exchange practices, thoughts and concerns and learn together is of critical importance. We may be adapting to the 'new normal', but supportive learning and sharing within our community are perennial values.»

*The decision of holding the final module of the program in offline format will be made taking into account the epidemiological situation in Russia and in the world.
